Calendar Game: February – with a Scavenger Hunt Bonus!

What does February mean to you? For most people, it means Valentine’s Day and roses and love and romance. It does for us, too, though we express it in odd ways at times. ;-)

This February, W and I took a romantic little road trip to the bustling township of Hannibal, MO, for the express purpose of finding and capturing a very special pic for the Rope on the Run Calendar Game: a real, official “Lover’s Leap.” (They say it’s the real, official, Lover’s Leap, but, you know, they all say that. There’s, like, fifty in Missouri alone.)

Here’s ours.

The legend of the Indian maiden who flung herself to her death.

Look at the Valentine's balloons! (Can you say "awww?")

Oh but wait, I'm supposed to be SAD - it is a Lover's LEAP after all!

And now, the bonus – a Lover’s Leap Scavenger Hunt!

And um, yeah, it was yet ANOTHER cold afternoon to be hanging out naked!

(“Lover’s Leap” isn’t on the official list, Dee. Can we add it? I’ll bet there are Lover’s Leaps the world over!)

I think this is a great Scavenger Hunt location idea, I have no idea of there is one in the UK but I certainly do some research and find out.

A great location indeed for a Scavenger Hunt. I know for sure there’s nothing like that in our country, but will keep an eye out for whenever we are traveling abroad :)

Lovers Leap (the apostrophes in this one are challenging me, so I am leaving them out) is a great location! I don’t know if there are any in NZ either, but I’ve definitely added it, and added you, to the Scavenger Hunt page. You’re now top of the board in Gold, incidentally :)

    xx Dee

I bet you’re really looking forward to summer! We drive through Hannibal a few times a year but have never actually stopped to even do some of the Twain stuff so I had no idea about the Lovers Leap.
