I’m a bit behind with this update. But what the hell, that’s the story of my life, right? Anyway, my latest news is that two of the anthologies that I have stories in are finally out, in actual print, and ready for your reading pleasure!
First up is editor Rachel Kramer Bussel’s The Big Book of Orgasms, 69 Sexy Stories.
And are they ever sexy! Hot, hot, hot. You can read excerpts from every story in the anthology, including my own “Coming Together: The Elusive Simultaneous Orgasm,” (number 55) at the Big Book of Orgasms Tumblr, as well as some great reviews of the book.
Buy The Big Book of Orgasms from the following places:
Kindle ebook edition
Nook ebook edition
IndieBound (find your nearest local independent bookstore)
The Mammoth Book of Best New Erotica 12, edited by the renowned Maxim Jakubowski also came out recently. And yes, my story, “Lessons Learned”, is in it!
I was so honored to have my story picked to be part of this incredible anthology alongside so many authors that I have admired for as long as I have been reading and writing erotica.
You can buy the book here at Amazon.com.
So where am I in my writing goal of one submission per month?
Coffee Break Quickies – ACCEPTED (not yet in print)
Best Lesbian Romance – rewrote and submitted Smut Alfresco - ACCEPTED
Flesh Made Word – ACCEPTED
Mammoth Best New Erotica ’12 – ACCEPTED
Three of Hearts – ACCEPTED (provisionally)
Short BDSM – ACCEPTED (provisionally)
Urban Confessions – Heat Index – ACCEPTED
So…I think I’m doing okay. I missed September and October completely, but there were extenuating circumstances. I am especially pleased with my Flesh Made Word acceptance. I worked with the editor on some revisions, but I also stuck to not making some revisions that I didn’t think were necessary – and the editor still accepted the story.
Of course we’ll see if the story is as good as I think it is without the revisions after people read it.
What else? Well, check out the Calls for Submissions page on Jade Melisande if you’re interested in writing and publishing your own stories.
